I was going to say something similar. I think they call this area the "Iron Bound" part of NJ. It is mostly refineries and chem plants. (I think) You will be close to GIANTS Stadium!! Go Eli......

Newark is the easiest with direct flights from Houston and you are only minutes away from the airport. great Portugese food in the ironbound at Senoir Pepe's.

Newark is a convenient airport (I'm headed to New Orleans in Oct. out of NWK) . BUT, I would NOT recommend visiting the City of Newark

Yeah, that area of Jersey flat out sucks. But you're within driving distance of some real cool places, Poconos, Jersey shore, NYC. I grew up right on the Jersey/Pennsy border, right between I-78 and I-80.
