A similar bolt is used on parts of the Apache helicopter. Kind of a pain in the ass, but they work!

I bet they cou[d be a problem if the lock were overtightened in an aluminum head. Just use Stage8 locking bolts if you're looking for security.

i just bought some plain old grade 8 bolts and lock washers from the hardware store haven't had any leaks yet been about 5000miles and a year now

I've used Stage 8 locking bolts on several vehicles, Including my SRT, love 'em...never had one come loose.
