putting headers on the ol 3/4 iron madian 8.0 v10 ,,,what is the trick to get the heat wrap tape to stick ,,,i sprayed it with the silicon paint spray ,,does this help stiffen it up so it satys in place ,,dont want to put hose clamps on it but will if thats my only option???
 
ya i knew i would be told that but its a 99 ,,not a new truck ,,need it functional not purrty like me ,,,anywho i got some wrap ties from advance
 
soak the wrap in hot water.... get some hose clamps...and wrap them tight...while they are wet.... you can make them look pretty.. i'd spray them with the higth temp paint after theyare on teh headers.... but the trick is soaking them in warm water then going at it

Agree, that how I did mine on the car...

Soak and apply. SS zip ties
 
thanks guys ,,,got drivers side on ,,,these things are as hard as doing a srt-10 ,,everything easy till you get to two last bolts on bottom of two last ports ,,,kicked my ass ,,,
 
got shortys for the iron v10 and the passenger side is kicking my ass ,,,one bolt is impossible to get in im going to go take a shower and shove some grub down my neck and attack that side tommorrow ,,after i get some diff bolts ,,

you know mopar makes some longtubes for the iron v-10 (or they did,its what i have on mine) i still have a upgraded(flashed) computer for the iron v-10 if you need one
 
busted every knuckle but they are on there ,,,dont need computer cause i got a sct with three tunes ,,

i just got to put the little stuff back on after work monday,,,,i can say one thing though i am freaking done with any type of shorty headers ,,,


What happen to the thread i bought the long tube mopar headers with catless mids from go too ,,,:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:
 
glad i bagged them when i did ,,i got 8 pm,s of peeps wanting them from me now lol,,long tube mopar s with catless mids ,new in the box lol,,shipped for 1400 hell of a deal ,,,hope they are easier than putting shorties on !,,maybe i will get some hp out of them cause i got just a tad out of others ;)
 
ok big question ,,,anyone that has the long tubes on ,,do they help with popping ,,i know they will be louder,,,,just wondering :dontknow:

I do not have long tubes, But from what i understand you can tune the popping out, But i don't think the long tubes will stop it.

tooloe ,,one other member called dibs on them will be about two weeks before i get them off ,,if he dont take them they are yours bro,, it will be headers and mids with high flow cats on them,,mids came from justin :rock:
