Need your advice. Truck is supercharged with stock exhaust manifold,Boomer's cat-less mids and a Magnaflow catback. What HP gains ,if any can I expect by going to headers?Any dyno numbers available? What is the consensus on a brand? Lots of questions and have gotten different answers from three of our vendors.

You would notice quite a bit of an improvement with headers. Especially with a SC! From what I have heard with superchargers the shortie headers a best! I have the bassani headers and I really like them. But then I am NA also.

boy you know how to start a debat!LOLOL

I hope Nowwhat is getting laid somehwere and doesnt see this!

but bissani is the only type I think you can use with the paxton, of course I could be wrong on that, but of the shorties they are the only ones to actually make hp gains.

I my opinion I think its a good investment, more free flowing air the better, but others Im sure are gonna chime in on this:D

Ditto on what Dr. Stinker said. Back pressure retains heat in the engine and heat is the biggest enemy of an engine.

And for gods sake, do not listen to Nowwhat when he shows up.;) Hell, he doesn't even believe in a wing.:( :D :p

bassani's also look great and if you belive boomer only take 45 minutes to install:D took me 2.5 hours

I got a question. Would headers be necessary if i'm only doing... mids(w/highflows), catback, CAI, and a stage II flash? Just not sure if it is worth spending that kind of money with just those mods in mind. BTW this would be on a QC. Thanks in advance.

i got headers, no cats stage2 and cold air intake, had to buy cal tracs to get it to the ground like it is just bought a cam, probably gonna need street slicks from here on out to get it to the ground

I picked up a set of gibson shorties real cheap so I'm gonna bolt them up simply for the underhood bling factor. Not sure if they'll actually add any power with catless mids and magnaflow but heck, they were cheap.

Ahhh, I just noticed this is my 69th post, I think I'll just savor the flavor of this one for a while :)

Big increase in sound, be ready for that. Especially with no cats.

I have bellangers, magnaflow and no cats, 3" all the way and it is nasty sounding. It can be a little much at 80mph

personal opinion is this. long tubes make power usually in the higher rpm's. a paxton makes more power in the higher rpm's. you want to make the power after you leave the line so you dont spin as much. i would go with long tubes. just my opinion thou

Someone should correct me , but I think the header problem with the paxtons is bissani is the only one that will work?:dontknow:

does the lt's work with the paxton piping:dontknow:

i dunno about that. :banghead::banghead:i didnt think of that. i have read of some problems with that thou. anyone have a paxton with lt's?

I think Boomer had the Bellengers, and the Mopar ones on his truck with the Paxton at one time or another.

Bill.

Since I already had Boomers mid pipes, I am going to go with the Bassani's because they hook right up to the mid pipes. I do hope it sounds meaner with them on.

Bill.
