Headlight/ high beam

Last night driving home through the woods I would put my high beams on and I noticed they looked weaker or dimmer than my reg lights with the driving lights on, mind you my headlights lenses are smoked anyone else have this issue ? What headlights are you running, I been wanting to get some leds
