Heart felt apology

It seems I have offended far too many here. That was not my intent. I thought a friendly jab now and then was acceptable but sometimes it become way too easy to hit “postâ€￾ in the heat of the moment. I am guilty and said some things I wish I hadn’t. My intent was never to hurt or offend but that’s not the way it has turned out. I have had PM’s threatening me physical and when I answered jokingly that I packed iron (most Texans carry a gun---legally) I was accused of threating to kill him. Well gentleman, my killing stopped in September of 1968 and I never intend to shoot in anger again.

My faith is the most important aspect of my life. It is what has enabled my marriage to endure and endure with joy. It has kept me going when my 40yr old daughter left her 3 kids for the bottle (sober for 6 months now and seems to be in His great hands), My faith help me recover from a horrid senseless war that killed a lot of innocent people. So my faith is very important to me. But----this is not the place for it and for that I do apologize. Perhaps if we ever meet at a GTG and someone is interested I will share.

Again, I sincerely apologize to any I have offended and will in the future refrain from posting except on technical issue. Thanks for listening and I pray you can forgive. Shorty

Shorty, I'm hopeful that you are being a little facetious when you say someone is sending you threatening PM's. I think of my own dad at 68, and anyone threatening a 67 year old man (unless you are of a similar age) is a pansy.....a wanna be tough guy.....pathetic.

Shorty has never offended me, we're cool.....and I'll be 68 in August. I was on the USS Ranger, so luckily I never had to shoot at anyone directly.

If you are claiming someone PM,ed you and threatened you then call them out and name the name .
There is suppose to be a life time ban to ANYONE who threatens another member .Does not always happen but it is suppose to .
Since you are saying you have been PMed paste and copy that pm so we all will know who did it .

Deep breathe, Shorty. I don't think you've offended anyone here. Some of the keys to a successful stay on the VTCOA are to never take things too personally, learn what you can, and don't be afraid to speak your mind. IMO, you fit in here well.
