D was actually ok - there is always going to be one guy on the other team that gets going, last night was Terry, but for the most part Haslem shut down Dirk and he was really a non-factor other than the two 3's during that 10-0 run they had.
I just can't believe we opened up that well and it went away like our game plan, all over a 2/3 zone WTF
Perimeter shooting was OK, but I for one do not want to see Walker taking 17 shots a night, that means things are way out of control - he has some youthful thoughts, but not always the body to go with that and it showed last night. Give him 9 to 11 good looks he'll hit 2 or 3 big 3's and if he has 12-15 pts at the end of the game that is good. He got a little too ball happy last night, should have really passed out of some of the double teams he was stuck in, instead he thinks he is the old Skywalker and bad things happen when you are under that basket and can't convert it into a dunk for 2.
Posey and Haslem did great shutting down Dirk, they aren't really big on the offense, so any pts from them is truly bonus. Shaq is 45% freethrow shooter and I would have taken 40% at any time last night, but 1 for 9 that is just shit. Williams did an excellent job of handling the ball last night and got a few good looks and hit a couple shots, but GP was on, great D and good ball handling. It's really up to Shaq and Wade - they need to be the focus of the offense and the supporting cast needs to be that, supporting.
Last night the supporting cast was great in the 1st, but 2nd and 3rd quarters the support became the focus and there's where all the old guys showed their age.
