Install of my BB headers, cat and catback in my 06QC will begin soon.
Have anyone else in this forum done this before me?
Will I have heat problems, do I need heat shields to avoid damage
to spark plug cables etc.?
Please advice.
Sorry for my "messy english" ( extremely hung-over today!).
Cheers

i've heard of those who like "jet hot" or ceramic coating to deal with header heat....... i too, am interested in others opinions on this subject..... i'm likely to go with the same set up.....:D

Ceramic barrier coating is a very good way to cut down damaging heat in the engine compartment and prolong the life of nearby components.

i had my headers ceramic coated in and out because after seeing another members truck with the header wrap on it did not look cool then asking him about the heat he said is was extreamly hot and had to install the heat wrap on after the headers were installed. my engine compartmemt feels much cooler after i have put the ceramic coated headers on.

i have the B&B headers, and had them coated. i noticed a drop in under hood heat with the headers coated.

I have the headers waiting for my mids to come in more than likely sending them to HPC to get coated.

Order some Thermal products From Dan At Dc I So Cal. It will protect your ignition cables.
