Hi everybody, great forum. Traded my 05 3/4 ton Avalanche detuned 496
7000# bloated pig for a 06 rc nightrunner srt10 in october 06.
Awesome truck, couldn't have built it better myself.
I used to do a lot of drag racing with a '70 chevy c10 longbed,
455 buick (aprox 450 hp) th400 about 4300# best e.t. 13.23 @ 105,
very similar acceleration to the srt10.
It is also very similar to my '70 GTO 400 4speed 3:90, best e.t.
14.0 @ 105.
We'll see what the srt10 will run when the strips open up in this area.
I've dreamed about the day I could buy something new similar to an
oldtime muscle car with big block power that is not a high dollar
sports car.
Dodge won us over. The wife has a Jeep Commander with the 5.7 hemi,
which is an awesome family vehicle and great in the snow.
