Welcome, Don't kid yourself and say you will keep it stock, because you like the purity of the truck.... The mods will drive you to ruin, and you will love every min of the trip :)

Get One, you will never be satisfied with anything else. :D

Well, thanks for the warm welcomes! I had an 07 Hemi QC Sport, but a guy decided to run a stop light and it is now totaled. I am just looking right now, insurance hasn't been settled yet, but I realized 05 and 06 SRT10s are not nearly as pricey as I thought. I am looking at QCs in red, black, or grey, and I know there is no way I would keep it stock. I already have a laundrey list going, and I am not even sure I am getting one yet!! :) From what I have read so far, alot of guys use these bad boys as daily drivers, which is what I would be doing, and mpg seems to range from 9-15, which I am sure depends on mods and heaviness of foot. I can't see that this truck would have any issue hauling my bike and gear to the track, which is a common occurance for me, but what is insurance like on these things? I can't imagine it is cheap. Thanks for the help.

So is insurance a ton more expensive on these trucks than a regular Hemi dodge Ram?

I insured mine through Grundy as a show truck, saved me big $$$$. If you use it for a DD, you can't run Grundy.

Some have gotten high premiums, some have been treated as a regular 1500 ram. Geico has mine as a normal 1500.

Call your insurance company and see what they quote you...

If the cost sounds out of line, try some of the companies that consider it a Ram 1500...

I have USAA and they list it as an SRT 10 but the rates are the same as a Ram 1500.
