hello

Welcome Snake! Congrats on the color!

If you verify that the speedo is definitely off by GPS or comparison or whatever, check the service history to see if the tranny was ever replaced. :dontknow:

Welcome to the Forum, Snake. I, myself, have only been a member for a short time but you can and will find a wealth of knowledge on this forum. Some of the guys initially told me to have my checkbook handy for all of the mods that I will be purchasing and they have been absolutely right. Already waiting on a cat back (Magnaflow) and some exterior/interior mods. Take care and congrats on your new ride. :driver:

You bought the fastest color out there, this truck is great, and you found a great place to learn about it...but not from me. I tell you what....PM some of our Vendors and they will make you never want to get out of it! (Or so I've heard anyways... ):D :D

Welkome Home Friend!

Maybe someone had some gagnormous wheels & tires on it and had it calibrated for them??
8 m.p.h. which way??
Anyway, you can have a dealer fix in in 2 seconds with a laptop. Or maybe you know someone else who could.

Ron

Ron is correct. Take it to the dealer and have them reset it for you. Everything is electronic now days, so there's no swapping of speedometer cable gears any longer.

your fellow srt-10 owner

Welcome to the forum... great info here...and great people:rock: Enjoy

I think the speedo operates off of the rear ABS sensor in the rear end. If it does, the only change that would effect it would be the tire height as it reads the carrier tone ring rpm. What rear tire size is on the truck? Oh and welcome to the RBC.

Welcome to the madness.. as the other guys have said.. it wont stop there.. just take a look at my signature.... :burnout:

Welcome to the nuthouse dude...........Your 04 truck has a 3 year, 36k warranty, but you may have an extended warranty which you can transfer into your name for $50. Have your dealer check to see if a previous owner had purchased one.

Let us know what kind of mods you are planning.............cuz we all like the mods!!! LOL
