Ok im intalling my HIDs rite now.. fog loamps are done.. doing head lamps.. now the retro solutions kit comes with 4 little bronze colored.. relays/amp?? things.. 2 for each head lights.. both have red wires going into them.. but both also have black wires coming out of them.. now do i connect these to a ground sorce of power??? theres nothing in the manual for this kit as its the specific kit for 02-06 rams.. plz help if anyone has this kit..?? i mite end up with trail and error.. but dont wana wreck anything

right or wrong, i would go black ground, red power

Your power supply to the ballist is where the relays go. If it's just a low beam kit attach one end of the resistor (bronzed colored thingys) to the center wire and the other to the low beam supply if this will use 2of4 of your resistors if it's a high/low kit you must connect the resistor to both. I don't have a wiring diagram on me but he reason for the resistors is the headlights on dodge rams are dutycycled and there must be a resistance inthe circuit for them to work and not set a lamp out. They must be connected to the harness coming out of the headlights do NOT attach them to an external ground or power supply. PM me if you need some more info

That's a very similar kit to what I have I've go a GT HiD kit. It has 3 resitors that plug into the passenger side harness oem plugs, and another harness with 2 resistors that connects to the drivers side harness and runs across the rad support. They should have had the harness premade with the resitors already wired in. Or at least that's how I interpreted it off of there site.

the link you have there is the kit i have, but mine is the 55watt kit, and yes your write everything is direct bolt in put those little bornce resisters have ring terminals on all 4 of them.. im guessing thats for a ground?? and they do connect to the stock head light plug yes.. i just finished the install and ended up trying the resisters to a ground based on a google search is what u found.. and they get very hot very fast! had them on for 10 mins.. will go for a long drive tnite or run the head lites for a few hours to see how they hold up.. thanx for the replies!

Probably safer to go for a long drive during the day with them on. :dontknow:

Been there done that, but lucky I had working fog lights. I think Hid is the best mod to do on any vehicle. But that new LED lighting has caught my interest.

I did leave them on all day to see how they held up.. so far so good.. but for some reason my drivers side head light looks brighter then the left :dontknow: now i no when i put the kit in the wireing only uses the drivers side plug... would that cause the passenger light to not get enough power to it? and sometimes when turning them on the passenger side dont come on unless i either flash the high beams or turn heads off then back on again.. then they stay on. hmm i guess i could just call retro solutions tomorrow and ask them what i did wrong.. weak ground maybe? thanx for the help, and yes the hid mod is a must!
