help cleaning calipers

Has anyone had any luck cleaning there calipers. Im trying to clean them up so I can plasti dip em. What did yall use?

I took my wheels off, scrubbed the piss out of them with simple green, then once they were nice and red again, I sprayed a high temp clear on them for a nice glossy finish. Now the dust just rinses right off. Spray that clear on a few times and get a thick layer. Throw a Viper vinyl on there too while youre at it. Then you'll have this:

If you plasti-dip the brake dust is going to stick to them like glue. Just FYI. So be sure to get brake dust colored plasti-dip. Venom, yurs look sharp.

Thanks and also I should add that I put the white Viper logo on the caliper first, then cleared it. That way it wont discolor as fast. Or maybe even at all..
