Been searching forums, google, etc for hours.
I know some you have changed handles.
What is the trick?
Can't get the pink clip back on.
Got it on once and the rod came lose from the latch!
Now can't get it back on the latch. Have to take latch out now I quess?
And there is no room to move around in the door.
I have the factory service manual. It says to remove window!
I'm sure you all are not taking your window out.
This is part of a install sheet I found:
7. Now that the two nuts have been removed, the stock handle can be removed as well. To do this,
carefully maneuver the handle free of the door without scratching any painted surfaces. NOTE: On
handles with key holes this process is much more difficult. Handles with key holes have a second rod
connected to the handle with a pink clip at the end of the handle with the key hole.
Carefully angle this pink clip out of the door first, then proceed to maneuver the other end free. Snap the pink clip off the rod.
You will then need to remove the lock mechanism from the handle using a # 20 Torx style driver and let hang.
No sh*t "Much more difficult....
HELP!
