Aloha...Swapping my engine and trying to figure out how to perform the "fuel system pressure release" when my engine won't run.....

Any info will help.....

Mahalo from Maui.....

You can release some of the presure at the valve on the fuel rail.

When I pulled my engine I was able to leave the fuel rails in the engine bay as I did not have the tool to release the fuel line from the rail.

Plus I new I was pullin the whole full system out as well as the tank.

Anyway, even after purging the system at the fuel rail there was still presure in the system.

When I pulled the whole fuel system I left the gas cap off and pulled the return part of the system first.

Then when I pulled the supply side I found the left over presure.

It was not that much and hardly any fuel came out.

As I recall the shop manual had a process to eliminate all presure in the system before disconect.

Hope this helps.

Then Take The Fuel Cap Off, IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!! I Recommend Putting A Towel In There, DONT FORGET TO REMOVE & REPLACE THE CAP BEFORE STARTING!!!!
