What is the reason that the stock flywheel would be better ? I have read several opinions,but I still don't quite "get it". :dontknow:

As Prof said, some believe that due to the weight of the trucks the heavy mass of the OEM flywheel help off the line because of the rotating mass. My builder (Joe Donovan) explained this to me before I ever heard it mentioned on any of the forums. I trust his judgement completely.

He also said what Sharpi said: OEM flywheel for drag racing and lightweight flywheel for road course racing.

Of course, you WILL need to resurface the OEM one if you go that route.
