After two weeks in the body shop my truck is finally done. Looks great and really glad I went with the shaved tailgate as well as gloss black sport mirrors, gloss black door handles and gloss black billet fuel door. I picked up two rims from a fellow forum member (one of mine was damaged in accident) and had them taken to Permastar for their coating.
However, just talked to Permastar today. Seems my two rims got put to the side. Permastar was under the impression that I was sending 4 rims. Misunderstanding....it happens. As such I'm still looking at 2 weeks min before I get my two rims back. Add some shipping time and getting them mounted up with new rubber and such and looks like I'll miss out on the GTG the 19th....at least driving my truck.
One last try if anyone has a spare taking up space and willing to loan for a couple weeks. I've mounted up my spare but hard to get around with only three tires. The rental I've been driving sucks but really wanted to make the Phx GTG and show off the new mods. THIA!
