ok so i just finished installing stinker's lowering kit on the truck, everyting was perfect including the stance on the truck it looks bitchin but when i went to start it for the test drive i notice the brake light and the abs light were on, i disconected the neg cable as i have done before on other vehicles to turn off the lights that come on once in a while but it didn't work:mad: is there anything else i need to do or do i need to take it to the dealership please any help will be greatly apreciated im getting a bit frustrated . thanks

One, check ya brake fluid maybe:confused:

or remove that battery cable for at least 10 minutes to clear everything.

man ya got me on this one:dontknow:

Make sure when ya installed the front an rear you didnt pinch any lines by mistake

Try driving it around the block. The lights should go off. The same thing happens with the SCT when I change my tune.

the problem is fixed:nurse: , thanks you all for your help this is why this site is the best:rock:     after double checking to make sure all the brake lines were ok i left the battery disconnected for like 45 min and then drove it for a while and they went off . thanks:D

Searched the site and saw this thread. Same thing happened to me Saturday. Kit is great, looks killer! The ABS and BRAKE light are on. I did all the steps to clean it myself, but nothing.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Real easy! Just drive it 5 foot and it'll shut off unless you unplugged something. :D

My buddy said he unplugged the sensors in the front to let the calipers dangle. Maybe they arent plugged in correctly, or damaged?

check the plugs to see if they weren't damaged...

if not, drive around for 5-10 minutes... it should go out...

did you touch the battery cables together (disconnected from the battery, of course;)) hold them together for about 20 seconds and that does a hard reset...

I did disconnect the battery for an hour. Drove it around for 10-15 miles.

I didnt touch the cables together...never heard of that doing a reset.

Thats weird bro, when I lowered mine I never had any lights come on.

Most I got was LAMP OUT light in the rear it would blow brake lights every 3 months or so :D

Checked all the sensors and lines. Nothing looks broken, disconnected, or stretched. So i'm going to have to have the code scanned and cleared. See what happens from there.
