help me find something

i need a cone. not just any cone, but a chrome plated 45 degree angled side, 3 inch diameter at base coming to a point no more then 2-3" high.

does not have to be chrome per-se, but of a mirror finish.
material is not important, plastic, metal, hollow or solid.
i would like it cheep.
any suggestions? my normal channels are dry.

take something 3 inches round like a wood cut out. then put a screw or a wooden dowel in the center of it. the screw or dowel has to be 1.5 inches high to get a 45 degree angle. wrap in sheet aluminum or whatever shiny material u want around the base of the cut out to the peak. that will give u a cone 3 inches wide on a 45 degree 1.5 inches long. hope it helps

90 degree triangle if side a and b are the same lenght then the resulting side is a 45 degree angle. the center of your circle is 1.5 inches from the side of circle so ur height has to be 1.5 inches for a 45

what ya building?

i am quite the avid inventor, most of my shit is useless when done, so i prefer not to say unless it turns out good. you should see the notebooks i fill with ideas. one out of 100 ideas makes it past the thought experiment stage and onto the experimental phase, mostly due to lack of funding and time. now that people are working for me i have more time, and more money to play with the good ideas.

.... coming to think of it, i have been working on a better light bar. this is for my alpha two design. alpha 1 went well. few more years until i have a viable production example, or it could turn out worthless. perhaps when i invent something useful and i die, they will put the failed crap in a museum
