my auto in my iron v-10 is "hanging" in first gear and then shifts hard into second. does it warm or cold and seems to have gotten' worse over time. any ideas on how to remedy this? cable adjustment? bands? its a 99' with 33,000 miles. i think its a 47re.

I don't know, although I have a 95 Iron V-10 with 150,000 miles. and it is going strong.

Bill.

its the 48re tranny for the quad cab and I would say adjust the bands as well as re-adjust the throttle cable. That should hopefully do the trick or make it better than what ur seeing right now.

when is the last time you serviced it sanchoba?
you may need to check the gov solenoid and or adjsut ya cable , try the cable adjsutment first , but dont think thats the prob, sounds like a valve is trying to hang
