Guys I was installing my NOS kit last night so I removed the DC flashed pcm and reinstalled my factory pcm. After putting up all the tools ( will finish today) I connected the battery back up and turned the truck without any problems. I did notice the temp. go to 200 almost immdiately. Keep in mind the truck has been off for about 3-4 hrs. I figured the temp would go down put it kept climbimg so I immediately turned the truck off and reinstalled the flashed pcm.
Question: Do I need to remove the 170T-stat when I install the fatory pcm?:dontknow:
It has been so long since the factory pcm was taken out of the truck I really don't remeber what the temmp should be?:dontknow:

All your help guys is greatly appreciated:rock:

that sounds like a electronics problem. leaving the 172 t-stat will still help even without the pcm flash. it's either a electronic problem or you have one serious issue. someone will chime in and help more im sure

My stock 06 reads between 180 and 200, depending on how Im driving it. Coolant temp that is.

I left the truck running for about 30 minutes and it never threw a code or redlined on the temp guage, but it did seem to heat up rather quickly. :dontknow:

Mine is always between 190 and 210, stock pcm....only mods are catback and filter.....ran the same way with no mods.....

I believe the Flash Turns on the cooling fan sooner to compensate for the new tune in the progaming, try the Flashed pcm:idea:
