05 RC. Have been hearing a "roaring" but not loud sound and can feel vibration in the pedal. Sound comes and goes. At first I was thinking PS pump but no noticeable change in steering. Looked at crank pully and thought I saw a slight "wobble" Checked the crank bolt (1 1/4) it is tight and checked the torque. Chirpping sound at start up but goes away after a minute or so. Thinking it may have something to do with the fan assembly. I noticed that when I shut engine off sometimes I can hear the fan "wind down" for lack of a better description. Anyone had these symptoms? I have read in another thread that PS lines may make some noise but I never noticed it and have had Stinkers PS and Oil lines on for a while. Suggestions:dontknow:

Could be a pulley. They can make noise till warmed up. The vibration could be the pulley going out.

Any play in your universal joints?

Does it mostly at idle when it gets up to temp (in traffic). I have raised the hood and listened but the damn thing NEVER does it when I am looking for it to.

This raises another question. Is the crank pully a 2 pc assembly? The reason I ask is that I could swear I see a seam or "crack" on the edge of it:dontknow:

New serpentine belt will stop the chirp and probably the idle and low speed vibration.
That's my next move. Probably should have changed it when the PS lines leaked on everything!

And check that Idler bearing...mine went bad around 80K. Made similar groans leading up to me finally figuring out what it was.
