I'v got an 05 srt I bought used two years ago with 4k miles on it...when i did the test drive i noticed the clutch didn't engage till the very top...asked the dealer to have it checked before i took delivery...they told me the clutch was supposed to be that way...now fast forward two years and 22k miles...i take the truck to dodge recently to have the oil cooling lines replaced(again) and now they're tellin me i have a clutch issue because it engages at the top!...where is the clutch supposed to engage? if the clutch isn't done yet what else could cause it to engage that way?

So you telling us that you got 22k miles out of the stock clutch????.......Thats awesome dude...........mine lasted 3k. My centerforce engages........put it this way, I dont have to push the clutch pedal in very far.....it engages with the pedal out very far. Cant remember how the stocker was......... that was three years ago.

Either I got the worlds best clutch in my truck or I just drive like a p*ssy... :) 38K miles on my stock clutch and still holding up. Slips a bit if I need to start out on a very steep hill,,, otherwise, it's great. I still plan on doing the CF clutch upgrade at 50K miles....

22K That is great! Mine lasted 13K. I have gotten the Centerforce and master/slave upgrade with a new flywheel from Justin. It was around 1200.00 not to bad. Haven't installed yet but I heard it was the best set-up.

Btw Mine is letting out right the top. I changes dependin on the master/slave cyl moods. I was told if I didn't want to upgrade I needed to change the master/slave cyl. Try that if you don't think the clutch is bad.

My 06 with 1060 miles on it also engages close to the top of the pedal stroke. Before I bought this one, I test drove 2 other 05's with about 9500 miles on them, clutch engaged at the top on them as well.

As far Patrick's CF is concerned and my stocker, I never tried to see how far the pedal will go down vice where it engages at on the up stroke. I always push the pedal in to the floor. I guess the engagement point is close to the top with both the CF and stocker.

you drive like a p*ssy:D sorry, stock clutch should never last more than 5k miles, just like tires!!!!:burnout:

I dont remember my stock clutch having to be near the top before engaging....but the trans never shifted well with it..This is my flywheel after 6,000 miles...the clutch was almost in the rivets.....CF (and new flywheel) shifts 1,000% better..

Sorry to hi-jack but which flywheel did you go with with the CF, do you get any noise from the tranny with it?

I have the Fidanza............there was a little chatter during the break in when pulling into my very tight garage but otherwise no noise. You can just buy a new stocker flywheel and mate that up with the CF clutch, but you gotta have the viper master slave for the CF to work. Stock setup is not strong enough for the CF to work properly.
