I am trying to replace my throttle cable, and I cannot figure out how this thing is supposed to come out. It's making me crazy.

I switched my BBK throttle body back to the stock one for my every two year smog inspection. Easy 10 minute job, but I managed to break the little 2 cent plastic piece that connects the cable to the throttle bell crank. I had to buy a whole new cable, and now that I have it I just plain can't figure any way to get the firewall plug and gas pedal attachments apart.

I sure hope somebody has done this and can give me helpful hints.

Thanks.

I did mine and its a pain in the ass. Easier to pull the old one through the fire wall towards the pedals. Install the new one from the engine side i fought mine for ever and ended up trimming the rubber part and getting it in

Thanks. I'll try some that in the a.m. Or get a bigger hammer.

I managed to get the old one out. I had to trim the rubber grommet, and with a little bit of grease it went in. Seems to work. I don't want to do this again any time soon. Thanks for the tips.
