hey every body, well it was a quick three weeks! LOL hope every body is doing well, for PROF and MARC T, and anyone else who surfs, surf was great had probably a total of 7 1-2' overhead days, maybe 6 head high days and the rest somewhat smaller...winds offshore all-day every day! perfect peaks! 5 different breaks to choose from on MY beach LOL normally only surf at high tide, but there are two highs and two lows...so some days we were able to get two sessions in! construction on my place is going slow, but that is to be expected as roads in are still bad, and during the rainy season construction is almost nill (unless you have a roof and then you can work inside) real estate has gone crazy, bought the property in 92' for $3.00 a square meter (have 4,000 sq. meters, about an acre) today its worth $110.00 a square meter...do the math! i'll post some pics when i get a chance

I have got to get to Costa Rica. My other hobby is dart frogs and well Costa Rica has a few. I was in Belize a few years back, stayed on Ambergris Caye for a couple of weeks and didnt want to come home. I found property for sale there and if I had a couple of million to spare would jump all over it. People in the dart frog hobby are buying the land in Costa Rica to preserve it as well. When you want to play look here. www.privateislandsonline.com

Sounds like Heaven. Never been able to spend three weeks there.

Sounds like you were in Hacu????

Sanchoba,

Post up some pics bro!!

I am heading to Panama in March, can't wait!! Hope I score like you did!!!:D

Just bought some new boards and a I am dying to get some real waves!:p

okay here is a few pics, not many of the surf...because no one wanted to stand on the beach when the waves were up!:dontknow: the beach is playa avellanas, which is south of tamarindo about 10 miles. the casita doesn't look like much now, needs to be stuccoed and a porch will be added, this is one of four planned. our builder is a good friend from calif. who has been there 16 years. he is moving in to this one and will build the others and be our caretaker-guardian of the property. he makes all the windows, doors, furniture, etc. himself...and he is an auto mechanic by trade. we call him McGyver, he does it all! LOL

Nah....in San Jose.....a boom boom bar.....:D

Nice picks dude. Once your surf really good waves its hard to surf crap. That one pic looks like a fun beach break......so clean!! No long Hawaiian paddle either!!! LOL

The waves here get great....but the crowds are insane!!! Surf schools suck..... people giving surf lessons suck.....there is just too many people in the water. Unless its fricken giant ass kill ya sized waves, then the crowds are only a couple of dozen!!! I think I have become a lazy surfer!! LOL Too crowded, too windy, too cold or too big, nah I just mow the lawn!!! LOL

Man I wish I was going to be able to go this year. We had a trip planned to Los Suenos for sailfishing in March but too expensive for my crew for this year. Is there any surfing near Los Suenos? I've been dieing to try it, I love wakeboarding, but south carolina doesn't have much for surfing except during hurricane season. Great pics, post some when its all finished.
