I bought a used set of M&H 12x16 Nostalgia slicks. These tires are at least 2 years old and they checked @ 55 durometer on my gauge. They actually show very little wear but will the age and durometer kill them?

Once a tire gets old and hard its gone...it can still be in great shape, but still wont hook for anything.

Patrick I think the Durometer (hardness) on them is OK. I know they will be more brittle and wear out quicker.

These tires have quite a history. Seems that Stinker bought them new in North Carolina and shortly therafter sold them to Prof in Illinois not sure where they went from there but I bought them from Arrest me red in Texas. I am just glad they weren't rolled from state to state.:burnout: :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

Hello FATJACK,

If you want to know HOW soft a slick is, the best way to get a good durometer reading is after a burnout when it's HOOOOOOOOTTTTT.

That slick should be around 41-46.;)

Let me know what you come up with.
