the think that makes me think about my response is usually gauged by the inquisitiveness of the asker...you can tell the guy that goes...that thing got a hemi (douche) or this kind gentleman that just yesterday, stopped, paused, then politely started asking a few questions..."so, now, that's not a version of the hemi, right, but it is 10 cylinders, like the car"....yes, sir....matter of fact it's the exact same motor that they have in the car, along with the transmission......that i can deal with...

last week, i go through some drivethrough, and this (insert stereotype here) lady literally crawls half way through the window (which, she had no business trying to fit herself through), and exclaims, oh my god that is a pretty truck...does that mean "you got money"....no, ma'am, i don't have any money, i just told the back that i would repay them after several years...(with borderline disgusted look on her face, and sucking of teeth) OH...then i get a free milkshake because, evidently, "i'm cute"...

I got beat by 1 car in the 1/8 by one of those. Quick as fuck with that all wheel drive and turbo work.

I hear ya bro! People ask me all the time why i put the stripes on...

And once at a car show a guy asked me how much it cost me to "swap in a Viper motor into a pickup?" and why would i want something with so much power.

I understood why when i later saw him standing next to his VW bus.:dontknow: :D :D Dang Hippies:canabis: :thefinger:
 
My Gsx-r biker friends saw me pull up to a party once and they wondered why I showed up in the truck and not the R6...Well Nobody really complimented on the truck.... About an hour later we had to make a run for some beer and since I was the only that brought a truck I was asked to go get it. So 2 of my buddies decide to come along and we all squeeze in and go in our way... almost instantly there attention was drawn to the shifter and the red button on the dash....They asked whats that fer? I just kinda grinned, you guys cant be that dumb..... Well we start on our way and the questions start to come out. So how much did you spend on the body kit and the rims.....I was kinda dumbfounded.... Do you guys really not know what this is????? They both had a clueless look on their faces... Well Let me give ya hint.... I proceed to roll down the windows and slide the back open....Still in 3rd the exhaust was "quiet".... I then ask them to hold on as ?i pressed the clutch and slow down enough to just to put in first....SLammed the gas, dumped the clutch and immediately filled the cab with smoke, the smell of rubber and sound of 10 cylinders gasping for air to shove out the exhaust...As I work thru 1st I then slam into 2nd and continued the quest for traction before I let off I see them scrambling for safety.....

Their first reaction was WTF was that.... Usually thats all it takes to get folks familiar..

i got the best one THE BEST ONE. i had my red crew cab i was trading it in for a 300 srt8 the guy ask me what size motor i said viper v-10 the guy then asked me so its not stock you made it that way converted it i told him get me an other sales man cause you dont know shit about dodge other wise the deals off. i later had top pop the hood to show him.
or i get dude you cut the wing down nice daytona.
or wtf fuck is that.
never seen a hemi take off like that be for

:dong:The blank look on my face was just... *sigh* Just classic.
 
For the 2 years I had my truck I definitly got alot of comments.
Mostly the "hey thats a badass truck" at the gas station.
Was a great truck, roomy for the family and fast.

now the viper was a different story...I had everything from "your dad lets you drive his car?" (i look young for 32). To a countless number of camera phone pics at the gas station, even dozens of cars almost hitting me on the freeway trying to get a pic. I always got "hey you want to race" especially from hemi pickups and riced out car...The easiest way to get around those is to say I will only run from a 60mph roll...because honestly there wasnt anygrip at slower speeds (plus thats only 4500 rpm in 2nd).

The all-time best was: I parked to fill up with gas, after I was done pumping gas I went in to get a drink. well, i over heard 2 college girls, one of them said to the other...did you see that viper...the other responded...i would have sex with the owner for a ride in that thing. they had just paid and I was paying, they thought nothing of me (i had on a BBall jersey and shorts). they walked out to there car, I walked out to mine...our cars were next to each other...one girls says is that your viper(the one that made the "comment")....

so I say, "sure is...do you want a ride"

At that moment she just put it all together that I heard what she said inside the gas station...her face was priceless

I got all kinds of stuff from women...hey you lust have alot of money. do you have a girlfriend?
one guy asked me if I ever got laid in the car.
 
I have an 03 QC 1500 4x4, blk, w/HEMI hockey stick stripes(like '70 Super Bee stripes) for my daily driver. Have an 05 SRT-10, blk, for my toy. Asked alot if "that got a HEMI too?' I just tell them "a HEMI plus 2" Usually have to pop hood cuz they dont understand the Viper thing.
 
the first time I took it to work and gave one of the guys a ride. His responce after leaving the on-ramp on the highway at 120 was, "get me the hell out of this thing!!!!!!!!"
 
oh, yeah, i totally forgot about this ...

nah, man, it's fuel injected...like all the other cars made after 1986.

i couldn't make that up....
 
I always get the "That thing got a Hemi" as I know we all do...but this one was the best: The other day I was just crusing across town and a new Mustang GT pulled up and said "Hey you wanna run.....Oh, wait are you the guy that runs low 12's?" I nodded YEP.....He goes "Never Mind!" I just laughed and gave him a thumbs up and told him keep it on the track and keep it safe.
