What all is involved in shipping a truck to the UK from the states. I've got an ebay bidder who seems fairly serious about purchasing the truck. What kind of hoops would he have to go through to get it over the pond? What kind of money is needed for such a trek?

you can choose to put it in a container (which is much more safer) or roll it in the ship, cheaper and dangerous.

it depends if ship leaves from west or east coast, let's say shipping from Texas will take about 20 days and cost about $2000,00, then he will pay customs fees on the declared value ;-)

I got mine shipped through Peter Luiijf from http://www.oyola-luiijf.com/
a very nice Dutchman working in florida. Can't check it right now in detail but total shipment cost, doc handling and payment was arround 2700 USD I believe. He ships from/to everywhere. Great guy.
Oh yes, I used 40 ft container too.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Attila is right, don't forget customs and Taxes will take their share once arrived in the UK. I think it's 22 and 17 % of the total amount (selling price + transport cost)

Interested party from the UK got back with me and is familiar with costs involved in shipping my truck (if they win the bidding) overseas. I've allowed them to bid as I feel they are legit.

Thanks to all those on both sides of the pond for the responses.
