So i have a 05 SRT-10 QC. I bought some HID's today for my low beams and fogs. The guy from the shop i bought them from said i should have no issues with flickering or any of that with this kit since im only install lows and not high and low beams.

Went home, installed the kit, sure enough it flickers. So i went back to the shop, they said i needed 4 resistors and a HID-TPVR, which was $100 but they gave it to me for free.

Question...how the hell do you wire this shit up. I got the resistors in as per the instructions they gave me. But with the HID-TPVR, its confusing as hell. Both diagrams on the HID kit and the TPVR are showing a relay pack or wiring harness which i was told i dont need. Does anyone have a diagram on how to wire all this up.

OR

Can i just install the HID kit as is and go to the dealership to get them to disable my DRL?

The easiest way is take your low beam + & - wire wire them to a relay then take the resistors and attach them also to the + & - wires. Take power from the battery and run it to relay then wire up your hid kit. I don't have a diagram on me but it's really easy. Do you have he projector headlights that use the H1 bulbs?

Edit:

The dealer will not disable the drls I tries that with my 05 I have a local guy that can do it. But that's not the cause of the flickering, the headlights are duty cycled and need the resistance of a normal bulb to keep power going to them the resistors achieve this so you can use a relay.

I've got 2 relays withresistor ls off my 05 if you need to see how they are set up.

He gave you resistors or capacitors?

I have projectors with H3 bulbs. I have 4 resistors and 1 HID-TPVR

Easy then, if they are the gold resistors hook it up like I said in the earlier post Using 2 relays with 1 resistor each should work just fine. any question just pm me. The variable resistor is used when a hi/low kit is used to eliminate the drl's. ( I don't do it this way )

just use the signal wire from the parking lamp. It will eliminate all the issues. The,only bad thing is that you will lose the ability to turn on your parking lights alone.

This is how i did my 2005 i had the ebay projector headlights. i kept the standard bulbs in the highbeams so the drls would work fine and no lamp out light.

Well i finally got the chance to do the wiring. I got the headlights in and the HID's working perfect. Although its dark now and cold as hell, we were having nice days of 6* but of course those were all during the week when i was swamped with homework for my course. And now thats its friday/the weekend its back to being -19*. That being said, i still have to put the bolt that goes in the corner of each headlight, so the corners are sticking out. And i have to re-route the wires going to the battery to make them hidden.

Tomorrow ill do all that, plus install the fog HID's. Once again, thanks for the help.

Heres a quick pic of the truck tonight with all the HID's installed. And yes the truck is dirty as hell.

Does anyone know where the adjusting screws are on these projector lights, they are made by Amzo. I gotta adjust both of them so they aim abit higher.

I had the other set with the LEDs at the bottom, the adjusting screws on mine were right by the bulb at the back it was a pain and took lots of adjusting and removal of the assembly to get it right.

-25*C I was pissed it was above zero (between 4* and 6*C) all week but never had time to work on it. Now that its the weekend its -25* and snowing. I thought my fingers were going to fall off when i installed the fog lights.

Yea i see a few screws, wasnt sure which ones are the adjusting ones. Theres 2 screws on the back, but theres theres 2 screws inside the housing around the bulb, not sure if they are there to hold the housing in or if those are the adjustment screws. I wish this was like my cobalt, i was able to adjust my headlights without removing them.
