Hitch

Guys, the 2005 QC's came with a towing hitch as standard from the factory right? Can you remove it? I haven't looked at mine in detail yet but it seams part of the chassis??? Does anyone know ?

i really wanted mine gone also. but you have to lift up the bed and buy some other brackets to remount your bumper. it wasnt gonna be worth the cash or the hassle for me.
