okay got yur attention.
Heading to work this morning, 3:20am, no more then 3/4 mile from the house i hit a deer with the wife's Avenger, did not even look just turned around and went and got the truck and went to work.
Got to work and the wife sent me photos of the damage, only the head light lens was broke on the passenger side and hair all over the car.
Okay for then ones that care the deer is local 4 point hangs out in the neighbor hood, got pictures of him in my back yard.
yes he is just fine, when i hit him he rolled then got up looked at me, shook his head and jump over the fence and gone.

Thank you for reading, now I have a question on 4:56 gears.

Went to Randy's ring and pinion and asked about putting in 4:56 gears.
I said it was a Dana super 60 and they took a look and said it is a 10 bolt cover so it would not be not a Super 60. They are looking into it and will get back to me. scheduled for next Thursday install if they can.

What is this thing and what should I be asking for? might be crazy, but I have read way to many threads and my brain hurts.
Please help me want :dontknow:

:dontknow:I'm surprised you got that response from Randy's they are usually top notch.....Dana super 60, same as reg 60 but with some more beef in the axle housing???Right guys??:):):)

Call unitrax out in cali, give them the numbers off the metal tag and they'll get you the right set for sure

Agree and would have thought the same thing that Randy's should have known.

Will look for the tag and go from there.
I would think there would be a part number's running around some where in the forum, thinking others had the same issue at the beginning of these trucks.

There were issues at the beginning, unitrax is the company that figured out what we needed. If you search for the old thread it said to talk to a specific person there and he was still there a while back when I called.

I'm having 4.56 gears installed today. I bought Richmond 4.56 gears thru Summit for $179.95. Everyone says I'll like it better than the 4.10.:burnout:

How the install go and by chance you have a part number?

Atleast Summit Racing is good about returns and paying shipping back. Sent wrong ring & pinion. Will get you the right part number this week.:burnout:

Just got a call from Randy's and they are wanting my truck for a couple days to figure it all out. they said they are getting mixed information and would like to open it up and look.
So I'm dropping it off Wed night and let them do their magic. just hoping for no joy rides and a complete truck when I pick up.

HELP!
I just got back from Vegas a weekend of drag racing.

Problem is Randy's has no idea what to do they say they can not find a thick gear. can anyone help with a phone number or part number they can have. They have had my truck since Thursday, they were talking shims?

Anyone, Please:(:mad::dontknow::confused:

How many times do I need to repeat this? Nvr2old posted the correct motive gear part number in his thread. If the shop you took it too is too stupid to figure it out maybe you should take it somewhere else

Chill-out

I gave them the part number Nvr2old posted, I just got home from a long weekend and they just called me this morning telling me they cant find. This is a well know company and not too many 10's around here for them to be swapping gears.

Randy's is having gears shipped over night to them and hopefully Wed it will be done.

Randy's will take care of me and they just don't want to do something that will break. I told them up front that I raced this truck and I use n2o.

I do a lot of reading on this forum and some time the posts get side tracked and the information is sometime tough to figure out.

I thought this is a friendly site and sharing was part of it.
How about some NW luv:dontknow:
