I have the Nostalgia 31.5" slick and if I hammer the gas of the line I hit the limiter on the 1-2 gear shift. It won't happen if I gradually but quickly floor the throttle.

I am not spinning. My best 60 Foot is 1.677.

I am thinking of either bumping up the limiter to 6300 RPMs or getting a 33" tire.

Any suggestions?

I would be careful about doing that. Even with the engine build I've done, I was advised to keep the factory rev limit. I'd look at tire size or gear ratio.

What gear are you in when you cross the finish line? Sounds like you are just not shifting fast enough. What is your gearing? IIRC Stick had to shift into second right at the 60' mark (maybe a bit past) and third gear about 330'.

Thanks...I am just happy that I didn't run the nitrous...spraying and hitting the limiter is not a good thing....

It's a Quad Cab....I am usually in 4th about 200 feet before the 1/4...

This time, I would hit the limiter and the truck would bog. I am hitting 4th about 50-100 feet before the 1/4..
