Since our bud 2nd Chance lost a couple items today , it brought to mind that this is the season for the low lifes to prey on high dollar items, wheels, bling, items in the truck, and readily accesible items such as head light covers.

its sad to say , but thats the world we live in now:(

So post up your ideas to keep your loved ones safe that are shopping, and to ideas to keep the items that are yours.

To start off?

park in well lighted areas

only shop during day light times

park near a populated area?

remove radar detectors, and GPS items from dash

Make sure the ladies have LBstone with them?;)

Put all of your valuables in the trunk - if you have one - or the glovebox

Don't wear expensive jewelry, including watches

If it is dark, most malls offer security to walk you to the car, use it

Never count your money in plain view, especially at the ATMs

If you can, don't use cash. VISA check cards and other credit cards are protected if stolen.

Buy on line!

if you think you might be out after dark leave a few lights on at the house so you and your family dont come home to a dark house, getting dark early here. the bad guys can tell no ones home

those cheap timing devices for the lights would work good also, turning them on at different times

Set up early warning devise, such as trip flares, or tangle foot around you the outer permiter of your house..... oh that in Afghanistan. :D :D

Ya, use timers on your lights.
