HOLLYWOOD MORONS SUDDENLY CLAM UP

I respectfully disagree with you Jeff...Many of the people we are fighting are students at Universities..People like Osama Bin Bonehead are very intelligent, in fact many are sent here for education. The countries are poor but their places of worship and the Clerics are not poor, for some reason. Hell they even have enough money to finance terror strikes all over the world in a coordinated effort...Never underestimate your opponant....That's when you lose :D

Bob while you speak from a place only few of us can, I disagree with your timeline. The last 2 Presidents have turned a blind eye to a growing problem that bit us in the Ass. Yes you may go back even further then you did and pull out examples of failure then....Agreed ! We did not need to be in Iraq when we did this time. Our efforts needed to be directed at the Major contributing factor of all that is wrong with the middle east. Iran and Syria. They are the soul cause of all of it. They alone sponser 98 % of all terrorist activities and 100 % of all the hate. It's cyclical and vicious .

It seems like this is just one vicious circle. All us us (I think) have good points.

But Mikey, there are several hundred million people over there, I sure hope there not sending all of them over here to go to school.

I agree with you however that the ones we are dealing with have a greater degree of education and experience. When I was in Dubai, I was talking to a store owner in the market place. He knew all kinds of things about the US, none of which was first hand. Got a few of the details wrong, but close enough. What I saw as horrible conditions, he said he was lucky to be living so well. I was shocked with some of the stories he was telling us.

Now he might just be a good story teller, but I bet there was some truth in there too. He told me the majority of his family had no schooling and would learn from the local cleric who would read newspapers to them. (wonder which ones...Al Jazera)

I left the middle east with the overwelming feeling of being lucky to have been born where I was. I no longer feel sorry for my situation, I have seen much worse. I thought southern Korea was bad, UAE was worse and the most western of the bunch.

On the otherhand, I also got to mingle a little with the rich side of town. Looked and felt alot like LA or NY. Houses were enormous, shops had everything one could desire

but,

the poor side of town was a hell of a lot bigger and at the time I was there the average citizen recieved 79k a year in oil royalties......and they lived and looked like they got .79 in royalties. BTW a brand new GMC Suburban 1990 was about 95k

so there's my story

just what I've seen and talked to people about

Had many experiences over there, but this is not the place or time
