Lowered her...........

And OMFG I love this truck! The look in person is beyond comparison to the stock 4x4 syle. Getting in and out of the truck is a breeze, a 6'3" I just slide in and I there's no need to worry about hurting the bolesters.

I had a problem with removing the front bump stops. I lent out my cut off tool and my 90 air grinder with the cut off adapter, so I couldnt use me straight die grinder. The porta band wouldn't fit so I cuised over to my best friends house and took his sawzall with 2 batts that had power. I cut the first bump stop and 3/4 of the second before the batts died. So back to buddies house for the charger and a break for recharge.

The back was easy but the kit doesn't come with new ubolts or plates and this was a buger to get lined up and I've only got 1.5 threads sticking out. Torqued it all up and took it for a spin.

The alignment is off the chamber is to the -. But the ride is smooth. I'm going from katy to beltway 8 and richmond, that should tell me what to expect. I pray that it doesn't break! Pray with me y'all!

THANKS AGAIN TO EDDIE, THE MAN ANSWERED HIS PHONE ALL OF THE 6 TIMES I CALLED AND AT THE END OF EVERY CONVERSATION HE TOLD ME TO CALL IF I NEEDED ANYTHING ELSE, AND HE MENT IT. THANKS EDDIE!

Jay

Pics to come I'll make y'all sweat!

He used a McGaughys kit that he got from one of the other members here for a dontaion to Ken.:)

well good news first..........

The Ride. It rides beautifully on regular roads, even bumpy roads. On my Man Boob Bouceometer it registers lower numbers than the stock set up

The Handleing. It handles better, only due to the lower center. As this kit is nuts cheap, kit had nothing to do with the handling.

The Look. Holy Crap.

Not the bad news............

You go over a large bump to fast it will punisish you with a scratched facia and a bottomed out suspension.

I'm thinking that I can get spring clamps and clamp the lower spring to the rest of the pack in the front, back or both. To help the rear supension.

* The ONLY cure for these problems is a kit that does a A-arm drop that uses stock springs and a c-notch kit that will give the axle clearance.

Stiffer springs will help the bottoming out but kill the ride. IMO

Thats the Maggie. The long one was 1 month ago. That lil one was a 110 mph burnout on July 4th night. If you look close you can still see the chunks of rubber! I came out of the smoke, arms raise to a cheering crowd!

The same one under the front tire of the truck was right before the maggie burn out. Only in first gear in the truck, got up to third in the car!

Soon I'll take another pick of my street infront of my house, its where we hold our little burn out comps, my buddies z71 did a cool one today,

Hell yes. That's more like it. I am assuming the thumbs up picture was snapped by a rear tire.. Because the height of the body from the tire is too high to be the front..

Yep right rear and the camber if F'D the F up. i'll get it aligned tomorrow. You know anywhere in the BW8 249 area? or anywhere else that does it?

Okay, aligning these trucks is tricky due to the low front nose. Apparently a certain kind of alignment machine must be used. Try the NTB on 290 and Holister... I think Holister. My buddy Lupe is a manager there. Tell him you know Anthony and he'll take care of you. I am supposed to be taking mine there for camber issues as well. If it is too low the only place I know of that has their alignment rack built into the ground is the NTB in Porter.
