We have done our normal process on getting ready for my sons birthday party coming up. We have ordered the Batman gear, I have a new batman bike coming. We are renting the slide below. BUT I want to do a big homemade slip -n- slide. Just wanted to know if any of you have experience in doing this. I plan on getting at least 2 20 ft tarps. I have a down hill back yard so this should turn out to be pretty fun. Do you guys have any suggestions on this? I also included a picture of the backyard for a reference. I think I am most concerned about when the slide ends how do the kids stop :D

there is a pool at the bottom, it doesnt slide right off

look closely

and enjoy the day

Youll want to put like another tarp or something under it if its younger kids.... We used to use like carpet or something to put under it.... im not sure how smooth your backyard is but it usually worked pretty well... no advice on stopping... that was always the last thing we thought of....

Dominus vobiscum.....

Tell the adults to stay off this thing.....

The adult spine is far less resilient and flexible than a child's. Many adults have tried to sue the Wham-o company because they've received severe spinal injuries attempting headers on the Whamo-o Slip-n-slide...

A word to the wise is sufficient.......

D

use the shed that sould stop em lol, once they leave the tarp theyslow down pretty quick set it up do some test runs u may not need anything

Just get some black landscape plastic or big role of plastic put sand bags or pungy sticks at the bottom that will stop them.Maybe old mattress?

Ya, that "no tears" baby shampoo stuff would probably work pretty good.

As far as the stopping goes... I think they'll stop before 40 feet:dontknow:

This is what I am talking about right here :D Tomorrow morning I am going to HD and get some supplies and see what I can do. It should be fun either way!
