honeycomb grille MOD

just replaced my chrome grille with the honeycomb. Super simple install...except for those damn push rivets! Take a l:eek: :eek: k!!

thats guys, the grille is around $40 new at the dealer, and then $22 for the plastic push rivets. Not too bad, but usually you can find a hemi guy that may want to sway with the chrome stock one. Ask around, I got mine off a guy around the neighborhood.

You can reuse the plastic rivets. Just push the center pin all the way through the rivet (don't lose the pin) then pry the rivet out (it should come out very easily) then put the rivet in with the new grill and push the pin back into the rivet.

ya, the rivets are re-usable. Its such a BITCH to deal with sometimes! I found the best way was to drill the pins out, and then the rest falls right out. If I was smart I would have tooken my time, but you know how it is when you get a new mod going...you want it done now!
