hood emblem removal

is there a recessed area under the factory ram emblem on the hood/grille, or a hole the emblem is pushed through? ive seen some really cool replacement emblems on this site but was wondering about removing factory before i got new one. ive pulled all the other badges i like the clean look.

Better leave it on till you get the new one There is a big hole when you take the factory one off

It should give you an idea of what it looks like behind the emblem.

there is a gap 4 sure wait until u get one or it will look like fidos ass!

When you are ready you can grab the ram by the horns and pull the whole thing up.

Same here no divot.So hard to get it off without putting a scar on the area
around the emblem.I tried sooooooo hard and still put a little one on it.!!One member had a great idea to start in the middle with a demal or small drill and slowly working to the edges.The stocker has a little lip that goes over the edge that JMB's does'nt.I may put the stocker back on to hide my f-up.good luck!!:rock:

My 05 looked just like this when I pulled it off. I drilled in the middle where the hole was and then stuck a bent allen wrench in and pulled it off.

my o5 had the divot in it too. used a heat gun and got it hot them it pried right off.
