I found that site as well, but they are still paint to match unfortunately I'll be fixing with epoxy and see if it will take the beating better
Well, that should do it! I know as a kid my dad could fix ANYTHING with silicone and duct tapeI found that site as well, but they are still paint to match unfortunately I'll be fixing with epoxy and see if it will take the beating better
Actually not bad looking ... anything is better that the cheapo factory attachmentsHers my temporary fix! Pls excuse the nasty truck. The weather in West TN is not very agreeable at the moment...

Sounds like a good plan ... but I will bet that fix would last foreverIt’s not really noticeable unless you just know they’re not supposed to be there. Between those two fasteners and some 3M tape, it’s getting me by until the day comes to break down and paint the whole truck. Putting that off as long as possible as I know I will want to protect it from road scars and damage and right now I’m down to just trying not to acquire and metal damage! Lol
Looks great .. yeah washers needed ,,, makes me still wish mine didn’t explode into pieces when it flew off and hit the windshield..well I finally got up the nerve to take a shot at the jb weld and nuts and bolts. I forgot about the washers I'll need to go grab some on Monday. but I have other news..... my drive shaft on the truck split in half while I was on the interstate thank God they put a shield arround the fuel tank

The plastic on mine was very brittle when I gathered up the prices I could find it broke more with finger pressure .. cheap crapThat’s crazy!!! Almost had to have been a failed universal building up heat and compromising the drive shaft until it failed as well. Glad the damage was kept to a minimum!
The work on the hood insert looks good! I have 3M taped mine several times over the years but it always works it’s way back up and now I’m to the point that it’s so out of shape it will not even fit the hood properly. I’m assuming the age of the plastic combined with the constant expanding/retracting that occurs on every drive, eventually warps the plastic putting enough pressure on the little keeper nuts to finally break the studs. It also probably doesn’t help that I currently only have two attachment points as opposed to the four that originally fastens it down a little tighter. Sorry for the long post.....guess I’m board today.
I saw that thread about the Ujoints ... fling driveshafts are nothing to shake a leg at .. my previous girlfriends son lost the driveshaft on the highway and lost control of the vehicle .. luckily he got it stopped without hitting anything .. your must have either completely seized up or fell apart cause a complete imbalance of the spinning shaftyeah I was looking for a new universal joint and some one replied to one of my comments the day the drive shaft exploded so a little to late it was making a little noise on shift but I didn't think it was in that bad of shape since my truck only has 62k on it but that u joint bracket on the shaft was completely ripped apart. I have the insert attached back on and it looks great I used an over sized nut that had a flange instead of washers to reduce stress on the epoxy

It appears you may have an after market hood .. all factory srt10 trucks have the removable inserts scoop .. can you post a pic of your hood ?An add-on hood scoop? Mine is an '05 and the scoop is integral to the hood. You need a complete hood? Are you modifying your hood?
