The secret that the hood vent is just that a vent. Lol. Not a ram air duct at all.

What are you looking to do ?? I have a Volant hood scoop piece (without the box) if you want it
The vent in the hood is designed to extract heat out f the engine compartment, the scoop isn't far enough ahead to work as a ram air.

Just lookin to divert some rain water. I think its fowling my pulleys. I drive in the rain all the time.

Yeah, plus it sits outside in the elements all the time. I unfortunatly dont have a garage.

I have driven in the rain a bunch. 2 times it was a downpour for extended periods and seemed to foul a plug wire. :dontknow: Missed for 10 or so miles out of the rain till it apparently dried out. :dontknow: In fact, one of the times it threw the code that said #9 was not firing. Cleaned itself up and no further problems. :dontknow: Might just "plug" my vent in the really bad rain and see if that helps. May be coming in from underneath. :dontknow:
As you can tell, I don't know very much.
what year is your truck? If it is an 04 you need to check the crank pulley bolt!! very important
