Hope the mids are worth it!!!

Well the hardest part is done. That one busted up clip was no match for the Dremel extension and grinding wheel, so now both stock pipes are off.

Now, I don't know if my truck is shorter than all the others, but the new mids are too long. The shortest (on the passenger side) is about 1 1/2" too long, while the driver side is every bit of 3 1/2" too long. Could very well be that the Magnaflow system is a slightly different length than the stock catback, which is now causing me problems with the mids. So, it's off to the muffler shop tomorrow to get these things cut, and hopefully by tomorrow evening, I'm up and running.

Well their on, and the sound is great. But after 200 miles, the truck is acting funny, but there are no codes?????????????

Did it get any better...
The computer sometimes need to figure out changes made.
Maybe see if one of the other Boys did anything after swapping pipes...

Bill, it actually got worse. Going to call DC performance tomorrow to see if the sims are having some type of alergic reaction to the tune.

I have already put the stock pipes back on....I have really gotten good at switching.

I could be wrong but aren't you supposed to do the swap with the battery dissconnected so the computer "re-sets" itself while your swapping things out? I have a set of these pipes on order myself, hence my question.

The battery was disconnected during the install. Beginning to wonder though if I should have disconnected the battery after the erratic behavior, to allow the computer to reset again.

Camera doesn't do the sound justice, but it's all I have. However, as mentioned above, truck started running bad after the install; not sure if it's the sims or what. So right now stock mids are back on and I'm going to try the sims with the cats in place to see what happens.

After I figure out if the sims are ok, I will need to have the mids modified again, as the length is still not exactly right, and the diameter is still slightly larger than the stockers; which is preventing the two sections from connecting properly; which in turn is causing one heck of an exhaust leak inside the cab. I bought these new from a member (great transaction by the way), but propably should have called Boomer to see if the new one's had all the kinks worked out. What a pain...............
