They're just doing it to help Wal-mart in getting everyone to buy things they don't need. Then the fuel costs in the area will go up. Just stay in doors and don't go getting yourself caught on a jammed highway.

NOOOOO you must spend 1000 bucks on a generator 250 on water ,,,350 on pork and beans ,,run for your lives lol,,dont forget to board up your windows cause plywood is at all time hight prices today ,,,oooooooo my god we must evacuate lol ,,wish i had one of those rip me off ice machines that guy was trying to sell i would plug it into my garage and sell ice today for 40 bucks a bag

Imagine all of the poor saps that's gonna go out and buy a $1000.00 generator...! Forgetting the one they bought in '05 that they didn't need then either because they have never used it and it's sitting under a pile of stuff in the shed.. LOL

If I'm not mistaken, didn't a generator cause a tragic fire at an apartment complex in Houston some years back?

When Hurricane Rita hit I knew people that were upset with me for not giving in to the media's mass hysteria and not chosing to hit the overcowded highways with them. My neighbor shook his head at me as he and his family rolled away into the grey sky scene.... Six hours later and only 8 miles on his odometer he decided to return and stay in like I suggested, remain in the middle of the house and just deal with what was to come.. Then when it was all over I went outside the next morning to fix any damages that occured the night before.. Yup, I stood the plastic lawn chair on my deck back in its upright position.. It was horrible.

i'm hunkered down on the boat in lake charles...evacuated cameron.by the way i'm one of those who bought a generator (just before dolly) ever been without power for 6 days? no a/c,no refrigeration, no running water to flush toilets or shower (i'm currently working on gathering rain water and pressurizing the house with a pump off the generator) any ways it is MISERABLE!

It miss houston to the north by about 75 miles, not much of a storm anyway. Mostly just alot of rain(that we need)

looks like lake charles,la and lake livingston,tx,huntsville,tx took a pounding ,,i hope my little lake livington house is ok wont know till i can get up there this weekend ,,i got HUGE trees in yard ,

I was afraid only because I left to Singapore on Monday and I wouldn't be there to help my family. Although I did mis them standing in the puddles. I love when they stand in the puddle........................
