alright i'm getting my midpipes together...Just finished makin both of the flanges and i'm laying out all the bends and stuff. Yet my pops and i cant agree on where the cutouts should be. He says they should go right before the trans crossmember, I'm thinkin i should put em right after the trans crossmember just to get em as far down as possible. However this does put
the left cut out at a weird angle, almost parallel to the drive shaft. what do you guys think-rec?

you want the exhaust to exit as far away from the engine bay and the cab as possible....

yeah but i only have two options,
1) before crossmember, keeps both cutouts at equal distance from exh, manifolds.
2) after crossmember , keeps cutouts farther from engine but puts leaves the left one aiming at the drive shaft.

nothing like taking a $50k truck and cutting it all up....:D ...Don't you think you should break into the 13's before you make your truck sound fast...?

Don't worrie Ferrari. I have vid of when Nowwhat was slow. And his truck already sounded fast!!!! Nowwhat did you forget who beat you!!!

I'm sure the cutouts will do some thing other make noise..cause
Boss after these are finished, 12's will be the next obstacle:D :D :D
Also just in case I dont hit 13's, It will be easy to just bolt in the oem mids back in since i didnt do anything to them:dontknow: :D

It has been so long since I had anyone in front of me that I am not sure it happened anymore...:D

I do have a nice pic of me racing E-benz.....well you can't actually see him in the pic...as the camera did not have a wide angle lense on..but he is behind me somewhere....:D

I remember a vid of me and you at LACR...too bad I can't find it:mad:

Ive had 9 different exhaust setups all with the cutouts in 2 different locations. The best results for sound and power i have found is, right when the pipes come together put an x-pipe (best) or h-pipe and 8-12 inches later put the cutouts, face one at a 45 degree angle downward in both directions.

Sound come out evenly on both sides of the truck, they are easy to get to.
And you still get the functionality of the crossover even with the caps off.
The crossover gets rid of the rasp and popping from the caps
