then after the test it says:

yet somehow this thing seems slow a sh*t
 

Fast enough I guess... My home connection was twice as fast, but cable got cut out of the budget for now...

I just moved into the sticks and I get some shitty connection abotu 1Meg down 1/2 meg up... But my previous address I was with cable and we were getting 45 Meg Down 40 Meg up .. With capabilities of going as high as 65 Meg either way... Now thats some insane speed... The connection we were offered was higher than the office that was selling me the speed... The only problem is with running only a couple computers Noo websites can support that speed so there is a ton of speed unused.. but hey its fun to watch the needle on the speed test get pined lilke your in 6th gear at 6000rpm lol
 


I guess Verizon or this old 4700 Dell sucks??

ok so what affects the upload speed? i'm fine with my download speed but it'd be nice to be able to upload vids quicker
 
Most providers have shitty upload speed, it seams that cable has been able to offer the highest upload speeds available, Ive got a second Condo in the city where I get Fiber Optic to the Unit and the download is 22Meg and upload is 1Meg if your lucky... really strange..... My Best luck so far for good upload is with comcast in the north west here with rates as high as 64Meg down and 64Meg up. but that service is 180 a month... but you can get 10M down 10M up for 20 a month up here...

i think i may look around i think i pay 40-50 a month for what i have now:dontknow:
