As the title states, How much better and more reliable is the centerforce vs the stock clutch?

I am at 25k Miles and my clutch is low, and it has had the piss driven out of it, with no problems to date other than its finally wearing out.

Is the centerforce worth it or just stick with the new stocker,, I spoke with my builder today and he says that they use the stock clutch in all there track cars " viper" and recommends I stay with the stock..

any one have any input on this????

As long as you are under 600HP the CF is a great clutch...There is one for sale here at a dirt cheap price...$450 if I remember correctly......add the Viper master/slave and you will not believe how much better she will shift..

Those of us that have had the Centerforce and the SPEC clutches seem to prefer the SPECs. I love mine. Peddle effort is very smooth and basically stock.

I did the CF upgrade with the viper hydraulics recently and I notice no difference in the pedal. Just sharper, tighter, shifts.

none of the spec clutches have enough miles on them yet vto tell if they are gonna hold up! the centerforce for 450 is a hell of a deal that with the viper hydraulics from justin would be just fine.....we all know that 450 is a lot for a tight ass like yourself but just go for it !!!

i did the centerforce and viper hydrolic upgrade and i love it... i can tell no diffrence in pedal feel besides it being easier to push down. i'm making close to 800rwhp and prob more on a 200 shot... i went down to tx2k10 ran 2 whole nitrous bottles threw my truck not having one slip at all.. i love me centerforce.. who knows how long it will last but i don't know why most guys are having problems with them.. mines perfect

Yours might hold up better because you dont go to the track...lest I dont think you do??...mainly street racing.....launching with drag radials puts a lot of strain on a clutch.....;)

Have you upgraded to the Viper car master and slave cyclinder? I noticed you have an aluminum flywheel.....good move.

It is more efficient for the centerforce than the stock clutch by means of its speed. Some of the inputs of mine was gone. But I will give you an information if it will be available.

Hard to say exactly for me. I believe my first factory clutch folded around 11k, w/ minor mods and not so nice driving. Second factory clutch was going ok when I pulled the engine another 10k later.

I have about 1200 miles, probably 30 or so dyno pulls, and better than 20 passes (half on slicks) on my Centerforce and Viper hydraulic upgrade. This on between 600 & 900whp. Still going fine, but have a Spec 3+ waiting to go in when the Centerforce dies.
