How To: Ashtray

Ok, stupid question coming. After futzing with it for a couple of minutes, I couldn't see an easy way to remove the ashtray.

Since I don't smoke, I keep change there, and some fell behind it. Now it won't latch and stay closed, and the fifties keep flying out!

Any help would be mucho apreciado!!

sorry i'm no help. i tried to figure that out when i wanted to hide my emergency lights switch in there. couldn't get it out either. good luck, buddy

open it up, if you put your finger inside towards the top (if i remember correctly) there is a metal tap....pull the tab, and it falls down further falling out.

Ok, update.

It's much easier than that. If you pull the ashtray "liner" out, the rest of the ashtray just pulls up and out. There are two simple catches on the bottom. It will feel like you are going to break it, but it will pop out of there.
