My K&N filter that is on the STS is very dirty. How do you clean that bad boy? How often should it be cleaned?

Now, I just buy a new filter. So much less hassle/time/mess/effort.
Remove yours and take some quick measurements, then go here and compare for a part #:FlyingLow said:That filter has got to be expensive to replace once a month. I thought about getting a new one to put on while I clean the other one. But I don't even know which one to buy.

**Wow, that's a pita now that I look closer!
I say call STS Turbo and ask 'em the part #!!

Got it.
Still, if you have to replace the filter once a month, poor design.
Do you have the shield installed? (not that it would help much)
Looks like a regular K&N filter. I'm sure it's in their catalog, and it's probably about $30 at AutoZone.
FlyingLow said:I don't think it has to be replaced once a month. I'm sure it is based off of either mileage or how dirty it gets. I don't have a shield on it but it does have a sock to help keep it dry. I'm sure it is just a regular K&N, just don't know what size, but it is pretty big.
