My dealer worked on my truck today. The work involved removing the steering wheel. Tonight my horn started sounding while sitting in the garage....not the alarm horn....just like you were holding the button down.....I turned the steering wheel and it will stop....but after about an hour or so it will just sound off till I turn the wheel again.

What is the best way to diable the horn??...dont want it sounding off at 2am..

pull a fuse or disconnect the battery

I think it's fuse number 45 or you can pull the horn relay also.

I found the horn...had to remove the windshield washer fluid canister to get to it....I cant see how the latch works to release the plug. ....and it is about 120* in my garage..dang.................my fuse #s only go to 42...where is the relay?.......much longer and I am going to cut the dang wires and the dealer can fix it...

LOL jsut clip the wires bro, they can jsut splice them back together, but ieth that or pull ALL the relays out , you will be fine:p

I am soaked with sweat in that hot garage...snip it is...dealer can sort it out tomorrow...................this doesnt do something to the alarm?....I have an alarm at the office and if you cut the wires to the siren it has it's own battery and will sound.........not an issue here?

I am going to your dealer for an oil change:p

LOL....they only charge $7 labor + the disposal fee......but they are idiots when it comes to wiring.........but their former Viper tech that use to work on my truck before he quit last year is coming back Monday....he did all my mods other than the internal engine mods....never had a problem....I told the service mgr today that he is the only tech to touch my truck in the future...

That's right you have an '06 which is completely different. Sorry, I was going on '05 info. Maybe that's what happened at your dealership. They were going off an '05 service manual.:D
