I have read some other threads and still have some questions. I have heard you should launch off idle or raise the rpms (With Pirelli's and stock truck with stage 2 flash) and mash on the go pedal. I tried both. I was a tenth slower leaving from idle compared to a 1500 rpm launch. Still pretty bad time, 2.2 versus 2.3 Track prep seems good:dontknow: I didn't hear any tire squealing from either launches.

So one of my questions is should I try to leave at a higher rpm and how high can you go with a QC. The track seems like it can support a higher launch. Another question is the altitude playing a factor in my time?(7600 DA)

7600' DA is crazy....wow.....I have always had my best 60' times from leaning on the throttle like you are doing....are you setting the rear psi to 22 or so?

Yeah forgot to mention that part. 22 in back and 45 in front. Spare tire and jack removed, mirrors folded in, passenger seat leaned all the way back. Pretty much all the little trick I can do to break into the 13's with what I have. May have to buy more mods.

its the shorty antenna bro, loose it and gain a 1/2 second:D

I would love to go to some good air:) . I thought this weekend might have been a little better. Cooler temps, but no luck with that. Plus it would be a long drive to some good air. This is the last time I will be able to make it to the semi-local track this year before it closes down for the year. Damn work schedule.:(

What would a good track be to go to, that is not super far.

Why not get in touch with Justin and get a simple NOS kit for around $400 or so, and use a small 75hp shot an try that, simple an inexpensive:D

Thought about that but was not sure of tuning problems I might have. I doubt there is anybody I would trust to tune the truck in the entire state.

with a small 75 shot you shouldnt have to worry, or talk with Justin aobut it he could lead ya in the right direction

Not sure how big of a shot he had, but seen a duramax dually go 12.7 up here........................DAMN

One tried and true method of lowering your 60' times are disconnecting your front swaybar. This allows the front end to come up and shift weight to the rear axle.

I do a real good burnout first then creep up to the line. Rev up to 1500-2000 RPM and on the 3rd yellow I let off the brake and slowly push the gas all the way down. I have cut several 1.8 60's. If you give it too much gas the tires will spin. Not enough gas and the truck will shift out of first too early then downshift back once you are WOT. Watch me launch in this vid. 1.8 60 and 12.7 @ 108. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/eeffb4a1-853e-4730-9904-be4740a752ea.htm

I use the same technique but at 1200.
