How to get the "Perfect" sounding exhaust

BMW tried a variation of this on the Z4.... it had a "rattle box" that resonated exhaust sounds into the cockpit, to make it sound "meaner". I thought (and many other "purists" thought) it was the stupidest thing I've ever heard of.

Well, now THIS is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of....

Hmmmm. I have to say that this bears further consideration.

Have none of you reading this ever put playing cards in your bicycle spokes? Granted, some of us have unfortunately grown up, but screw you for having done so.:p

There have been lots of ideas implemented to augment the driving experience, and I'm sure there are plenty of us who would sorely miss the audible/tactile sensations of winding up an internal combustion engine when driving a primarily electric vehicle.

Imagine the possibilities here! Think of all of the engines that have been sampled and recreated in video games. Think of how cool it might be if you were able to select what you heard and felt in the way of an engine to suit your mood or driving situation, or just turn it off if you wanted near-silent driving. Imagine going from a purring Jag V-12 to a screaming blown big block at the touch of a button, and getting the tactile feedback that goes with it!

Not such a bad idea, even if it is entirely artificial.;)

that tree hugger should just buy a real car.... that's just money down the drain if you ask me :p

eric,
you may have to consider this if you can't actually finish your truck sometime in this decade.........:D :D :D

On second thought, gasoline might be outlawed by the time I finish.:p
